Hannah Montana Contest Winner a Fake

Hannah MontanaA 6-year-old girl won four tickets to a Hannah Montana concert in New York with an essay that claimed her "daddy died this year in Iraq." Heartbreaking? Yes. True? No.

Priscilla Ceballos, the mother of the young girl, had told the company sponsoring the contest that the girl's father died April 17 in a roadside bombing in Iraq. When the spokesman asked the girl's mom if the story was true, the mother said no. God bless America.

"We never said this was a true story," Ceballos told FOX 4 in Dallas. "We do essays all the time. My daughter does essays at school all the time. It never did say it had to be true, but [the contest organizer] said, 'That's what we expected.'" Duh!

Club Libby Lu, the company behind the contest, has not yet made a decision as to whether the girl will get to keep the tickets.

UPDATE: Club Libby Lu has released the following statement on their website: "Club Libby Lu has been evaluating the situation surrounding our Hannah Montana Rock Your Holidays Essay Contest and is extremely sensitive to the fact we're dealing with a 6-year-old little girl. We wanted to take ample time to gather all the necessary facts in order to make an appropriate decision regarding whether or not we would award the Hannah Montana concert tickets and other prizes to the Ceballos family.

After awarding the grand prize, we unfortunately learned that the statements made in the essay were untrue. Club Libby Lu greatly values honesty and integrity. In order to uphold these values, we have decided to withdraw the award initially given to the Ceballos family.

Consequently, we will award the prize to another winner already identified. With this decision, we hope to revive the intended spirit of the contest, which was designed to make a little girl's holidays extra special. In order to protect the family's privacy, we have decided to not disclose the name of the new winner."

92. Writing fiction is now a crime? Another psy-op brought to you by the new world order. Wait until your kids are arrested for writing fictional stories.

95. This is absolutely disgusting. My husband is being deployed in a few days and I find this truly sickening. I can't believe people would use the lives of soldiers and their families to there benefit. Someone should slap this mother!

99. Hmm, let's think about this. This mother is teaching her child that to persevere one has to lie and resort to trickery. Wow, this kid may grow up to be president.

100. The reason Libby Lu is undecided about what to do with the tickets is because they're consulting with their legal team. Although this pathetic excuse for a mother now says she "doesn't want the tickets" you can bet that she'll sue if Libby Lu yanks them. The common definition os the word "essay" is
"An essay is a short work of writing that treats a topic from an author's personal point of view. Essays are non-fictional ...."

Hopefully that will be enough to persuade LL. That mother is the very definition of everything that's wrng about this society, and she actually believes someone is buying her ridiculous pack of lies. What a bitch.

101. I'm glad I have boys . I've seen young (5 and 6 year old) girls coming out of Libby Lu in the mall and they not only are made up to look 18, they're made up the look like whores. It is inappropriate on so many levels. To the "mothers " (and I mean that in the broadest sense of the word) who buy your daughters tight, low cut jeans , heels and short shirts: Be prepared to be a grandmother at a very young age.

102. I checked out the Mom's phone call to FoxNews4. She does not understand what lying is and definitely tried to get her daughter tickets for the show in a maniputlative way.She knew that "Essay," would be believed initially and get some sympathy votes. A 6 year old would not come up with that idea for an essay. Poor kid. The Mom doesn't sound remorseful, she sounds desparate to clear her name. She doesn't care a bit about whether there are other fans who really did lose a parent or have a parent over there. She is mad about her divorce and that dad isn't paying attention to their child. To all those who have family serving our country, Thank you so much! I appreciate you and so do many others.

104. Way to go Mom. I can't believe that you would think that you could justify this
by saying that it didn't say the essay needed to be true. My brother was killed
in Iraq and leaves 3 small children behind how could you possibly think that this was o.k. ?

105. Well, I'm glad that Libby Lu came to their senses and revoked the tickets and gave them to someone else!!
Oh, and Ha! She obviously deleted her mysoace account when people found her on there and bombarded her !!! Serves her right!
In that Fox News Tape, you can hear what sounds like a freakin daycare worth of kids in the background, too bad they will all end up on milk cartons or in juvie!
