She is also old enough to know better, but now she is just a drunken hag! Too bad it's in L.A. where even if she does any time, it will be something like 84 minutes!

Make people pay a big fine that fits whatever finances they have AND throw them in jail! Someone like RDM would just laugh off $250 and would never learn a single thing! Her bar tab was probably more than that! What a foolish idea!!!

40. Drinking and Driving in Hollyweird IS rsiky business now a days. Back in the Golden Age of Hollywood the cops would have driven the star home and everything would have been hushed-up. Many of the top stars were drunks but it was all kept out of the papers. Now, if your a big star that likes the sauce you beter have a driver.

43. Well--I don't think the DUI in Hollywood counts until you do it while driving on an already suspended license and you hit a few things.

44. The only reason this is headlines is because she is somewhat famous. This happens on a daily basis, numerous times a day, to average, everyday people. Not saying its ok, but Hollywood is just reflecting what happens in everyday society, only it makes more headlines.

You don't have to be drunk to be arressted for DUI, it can happen over dinner with 2-3 drinks. No one looks at that picture, everyone assumes the slobbering/stumbling drunk. .08 BAC is not a reflection of that, its a level where you are presummed impaired to make it easier for a conviction. Not to mention the machine that tests you is not accurate and has problems. Over half of breath test results get thrown out of court due to accuracy problems.

If they were trully stumbling drunk, they would not have a revolving door at the jail. Drinking and Driving is not ok by any standards, but it is also wrong for people to make assumptions without knowing all the facts. Its best to reserve judgement unless all the facts are known. Just don't blindly follow people, whether its the goverment or not.
